Elisabeth Zarnick (b. 1994 Los Angeles, CA) is an artist living in Portland, OR, creating works in oil paint focused on themes of home, choice, and risk. She obtained a BA in Economics concentrated in Environmental Econ. at Azusa Pacific University in 2017, fed by and feeding the exploration of evolving social and internal structures throughout her work.
Since beginning her self-taught painting practice in 2020, Elisabeth has had the honor of participating in several group exhibitions in her city. She often references singular, familiar objects as her subject matter, invoking tandem feelings of comfort and loneliness to support continued dialogue on the evolving meaning of “home” to the individual and society.
